Hello Warlords, I said I’d calculate the HPD (Highest Possible Damage) in a single hit during the Tournament of Iron. I signed up under the Pseudonym “Disciple of the Blue Dragon,” and I am the first person in the world to lose a Ward Tournament, just to identify myself a bit. But that doesn’t matter too much, I am here to show the method to dealing the HPD in a single hit. This is what you need at the start of your turn,
BOARD: Assassin, Dragon Power (x3), Sword of Light
HAND: Backstab (x3), Children of the Forest (x3), Surprise from the Deep, Sword of Light
The order you need to play these is all 3 Backstabs, Surprise from the Deep, then the Sword of Light; the order the Backstabs and Surprise from the Deep are played doesn’t matter much as long as the Sword of Light is played last. Then you swing first, landing a Critical Hit, then playing all three Children of the Forest, rolling all sixes on the damage dice. This (should) result in a final total of 8400 damage in a single strike. The calculations are displayed below.
ATK: 49
D6s: 126 (21 Dice)
MULTIPLIERS: 2x2x2x2x3
RESULT: 8400
I hope this was at the very least entertaining to read and I hope you have a good day. Sincerely, the Disciple of the Blue Dragon.
I miscalculated the highest possible damage. If you’re fighting undead you can substitute one dragon power and both the swords of light for the holy water card. Here are the revised calculations.
ATK: 8+20+5=33
D6s: (114)
MULTIPLIERS: 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x3
RESULT: 56,448
This is very impressive. The odds might be around or less than the chances of a perfect hand in cribbage. (Very very very low.) Might even be less than that.
Hats off to you for figuring this out!!! Keep it up!
